Esa Bushi dance is the zo (popular) male dance repertoire.
The dance is performed dressing in white tabi socks originally
and I performed bare foot since
I was performing martial arts dance soon after the Esa Bushi.
Here are the photos taken by Ms. Yuri

Meeting with a Photographer/Journalist Mr. Michel

Today, I am going to meet with a photographer/Journalist from Geneva, Switzerland.
His name is Michel, and he wants to talk to me as a Ryukyuan who lives in NY
and speaks Okinawa-go (one of the Ryukyan languages).

Prior to his interview, I am doing a little homework about Ryukyuan languages.

 Classification:
Aamami
Kunigami
Okinawa
Miyako
Yayeyama
Yonaguni

I was born and grew up on the main island of Okinawa;
in this regard,
I am the only one around here
capable of speaking (and discussing) Okinawa-go.

There are more Ryukyu languages than Okinawa-go.

Review of Yesterday's event

I really enjoyed the Indian dancers' program.
