Today, I created a dance costume for my upcoming stage performance in December.
This Kimono is made with soft fabric purchased at a local fabric store in Queens; it will be worn over another kimono as a robe. The design of the robe was influenced by a Ryukyuan Bingata robe, which has sleeves that are attached to the body of the robe.
This was actually my first time to sew a kimono robe like this one.
