Okinawa dance at Cherry Blossom Festivals (Seeking performer)

Would YOU like to perform a happy drum dance
in Randall’s Island Park in front of hundreds of happy people?

New York-area traditional Okinawan dancer Junko Fisher is seeking dancers ages 8 and up
 to participate in the 2016 Long Island and Randall’s Island Sakura Matsuri.

No previous dance training is required!

 Performance date: May 1^st on Long Island and May 14th at Randall’s Island

Dancers must be willing to participate in at least 3 lessons/practice sessions between the end of March and the beginning of May. Practice dates are flexible, depending on each dancer’s needs.

Location for lessons: In a public park (in Queens or Long Island; we need ROOM), or at Junko’s home-dojo in Douglaston, Queens.

NO lesson fees are required. The training is FREE for those who will dance in the festivals on May 1 and May 14.

Both festivals are fun, family-oriented events.
