Today, I gave a private lesson day to one of my dance students, who brought me a souvenir from her trip to Washington DC's cherry blossom festival: a magnet celebrating the 100-year anniversary of Japan's gift of cherry trees. She said that DC's cherry blossoms were all gone, and the trees are full of green leaves during her trip in DC early this week.
I wonder that if we continue to have warm winter like we do this year, if our area's cherry blossom festivals will be rescheduled from April-May to March. It's quite strange to see cherry blossom festivals without blossoming flowers.
Thank you Maki san for your souvenir.
