I just came back from a photo shooting today. This time, I was asked to take photo with Sanshin for upcoming music performances. I will inform you details about next events in my blog next week.

Choreographer Wally Cardona will open his rehearsals to the public,
providing a sneak peek into his time with Okinawan dancer Junko Fisher.
This is the first stage of The Set Up: Junko Fisher,
a new work at the River To River Festival Incubator at 80 Broad Street, New York City,
made in collaboration with choreographer Jennifer Lacey and composer Pete Drungle.
Open rehearsals are free and open to the public with RSVP. Capacity is limited.

Review of today's lecture and demonstration at Queens Library

I enjoyed performing at the Queens Library for many young guests, and would like to share some photos from today's performance.

Preview of the One-Woman Show at the Queens Library

Today, I would like to inform you of details of the program for the One-Woman show which will be held 
this Saturday, May 12 (3:00 pm - 4:30 pm)
at the Queens Library, Sunnyside Branch.

Two years ago, I presented my 90-minute program on Ryukyuan Performing Arts at the same library. 
I will also introduce how to apply make up and how to dress costumes in the program this year.

Review of the White Plains Sakura Matsuri

I have never seen so many people gathered at the White Plains Sakura Matsuri like yesterday. 
The White Plains Matsuri was a big success.

Review of the Long Island Sakura Matsuri Part III

One of my student and her friend came from Boston to see our performance.

We had our dinner at
a Japanese restaurant in Stony Brook after the performance.

Today, I've invited "Ryukaji" Sanshin members for my program. 
  Ryukaji members will perform their Sanshin and sing "Ume No Kaori" for my dance as 
 the first time of live music for my dance performance. 
 We also perform Sanshin and sing
 Erabu Yurino Hana and Hanjo Bushi.

Okinawan dance and music program will be shown around 3:00 pm. 
We also present Sanshin and dance workshop at the park after ourstage performance.

We have completed the 12th Annual Sakura Matsuri of Long Island held at Charles B. Wang Center yesterday with many children and adults joined us.
